  2. winnie@ah

  3. I have a good recommendation to you.
Try use the Thermal Pot, or some call it Warmer Pot. I call it 保温锅 in mandarin.
    It looks like this :
    http://www.waiwahtrading.com/i/Saffron%20Home/Pottrioweb.jpg
(there's a lot of size option)

It is not a electrical appliances,, so it is very 环保, no need electricity.
It consists of 2 parts,, a pot and a warmer enclosure. The pot is stainless steel, can be heated up directly on the gas stove.

To prepare the porridge,, just put the rice and water in the pot, using the gas to heat it up till boiled, and the rice just about 1/4 cooked.
Put this half cooked porridge in the hot pot into the enclosure, and close it.
A nice porridge should be ready within 30mins.
And tell you what,, the porridge is hot for long duration. If you close it nicely,, you can serve the porridge for your baby from breakfast till dinner, without need to heat up again.

  4. AH Beng,

I have what you mean (Thermal Pot), but not with me now, my mum bought a set for me for my 嫁妆,but never bring them to Penang. Plan after move into our new house then only bring all of them up. I know this one is better, my mum use it to cook soup, very nice and convenient.
